How did he pop the question?
Mark took me for a trip to Fiji to celebrate my 30th birthday. On the night of my birthday, we went for a walk along the beach and underneath the stars he asked me to marry him, one of the most magical moments of my life.
What type of wedding did you plan, what was your theme?
Mark and I wanted a low key reception with great music and close to the water. It was really special to have our reception at City Beach as I grew up in Wollongong.
Which quirky features made your wedding unique?
All the little touches especially our wedding cake, everyone that saw it on the night would say “That is so Claire and Mark”.
Where did you hold the ceremony?
Mark and I got married at St Francis Cathedral, Wollongong.
Why did you choose City Beach?
Mark and I choose City Beach as we heard a lot of great reviews from family members who had been to a reception at City Beach. Mark and I also fell in love with the location, it has amazing views of the beach and iconic lighthouse.
What was the most memorable moment from the day?
The most memorable moment was the first time I locked eyes with Mark in the church, we both burst into happy tears. It’s a very emotional day.

This will be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole. This was the song Mark and I walked out the church to.
