STACY MARRIES BRETT

City Beach caught up with newlyweds  to ask them a few questions about their special day.

How did you both meet?

Online playing games trying to earn more coins downloaded a silly app and that’s when it all started (not many people know the truth as we tell them online and they say “no way!”)

How did he pop the question?

We’re we at the snow on the slopes and he pretended to hurt himself so he could get on one knee. I was so worried he hurt himself and it didn’t register what he was doing until everyone was whistling and making a massive fuss from chair lifts above us. I was a blubbering mess.

What type of wedding did you plan, what was your theme?

I wanted elegant and church and he wanted “Batman” and beach.

Which quirky features made your wedding unique?

Definitely the Batmobile.

Where did you hold the ceremony?

St Francis Xavier Cathedral Wollongong

Why did you choose City Beach?

It was elegant and close to the beach. It ticked both of our boxes and was the first place we went to look. We looked at about 6 other venues but we fell in love with City Beach.

What was the most memorable moment from the day?

Stacy: Our first dance as husband and wife & seeing my husband’s face when he saw the batmobile – which was a surprise.

Brett: Seeing my beautiful wife walk down the isle.

Your favourite funny story from the night?

Enjoying the atmosphere of all our loved ones together, celebrating our marriage and love for each other.

What was it like dealing with Wedding Coordinator Hannah?

It was such a pleasure. She put up with a lot from me; calling almost everyday. Thank you Hannah!

Any advice for couples about to tie the knot?

Have fun, enjoy the day and breathe!

Take lots of photos & remember it’s one day in a lifetime so make it memorable and smile all day – you never know when the cameras are out.

& Lastly

What’s your No.1 go to song that had to be included in your playlist?
