Interview - Cheree & Michelle

How did you both meet?

We met at St Joseph's Hospital on hte older persons psychiatric unit. Our first jobs, 25 years ago back in 1994

How did she pop the question?

It was a dark and stormy night at Wollongong lighthouse in 2009, she got down on one knee and asked me to marry her. It was perfect .....

 What type of wedding did you plan, what was your theme?

We wanted a rustic, elegant, bohemian beach theme using pastel colours.

Which quirky features made your wedding unique?

We have four children and we included them in every step of the way.

Where did you hold the ceremony?

On City Beach, Wollongong. A gloriously perfect day on 28th April 2019.

Why did you choose City Beach?

When we first walked into the Ocean room we fell in love with the view. We just knew it was the perfect setting for our wedding and reception.

What was the most memorable moment from the day?

It was such a blur and it went so fast BUT it was so memorable. It was the perfect day in the perfect location. Hard to pick a favorite moment but the kids looked fantastic!

What was it like dealing with Wedding Coordinator Melissa?

Melissa is fantastic! Nothing is too much trouble. She helps you through the process and makes it all so easy.

What’s your No.1 go to song that had to be included in your playlist?

Our Song ... This i promise you by Ronan Keating. It was our first dance

Any advice for couples about to tie the knot?

Leave at least one hour between the ceremony and the recption. If things go wrong or not to plan ... DON'T WORRY! it was still be the perfect day.
