So without further adieu...
Let us take you for a (virtual) walk around City Beach surrounds & explore our favourite photo opportunities!

Flagstaff Hill Lighthouse
Arguably the most distinguishable feature surrounding City Beach, Flagstaff Hill lighthouse perfectly frames any photo & is a great place to start your post-ceremony, pre-reception shoot. In all her glory, the lighthouse stuns with 360° views of the ocean and escarpment. Amy & Rhys’s walk to the lighthouse was captured by their photographer which made for a beautifully candid shot.

The Cannons
Standing atop the cliffs of Flagstaff Hill, the cannons are one of our ceremony locations and make for a beautiful photo opportunity. When paired with a wide camera lens, the cannons with the ocean backdrop make for a unique and calm photo. Taylor & Grant snapped a gorgeous shot at the cannons on their way down the hill.

City Beach Rock Pools
An often-overlooked photo opportunity up the north end of City Beach, the rock pools are an eclectic location for those willing to hop a little for the right photo. Corinda & Nick made their way across the rocks to capture some perfect photos late in the afternoon.

Flagstaff Hill
Framed by panoramic views of City Beach (I spy the venue in the background), Flagstaff Hill is a grand place to capture shots with an escarpment background, looking down on the City Beach rock pools and dunes. Emma & Daniel snapped this candid shot whilst taking a moment to themselves.

Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse
The sun is on its way down and Wollongong breakwater lighthouse makes for a stunning way to capture that golden-hour effect. Have some fun with it! Get your bridal party involved and capture the iconic “kiss” & “mid-walk” shots, just like Taylor & Grant.

The Breakwall
An edgy and unique location to snap a photo on your walk back to the venue. The blocks that form the breakwall create an iconic “Wollongong” vibe. Where industrial history meets elegance and romanticism, make the most of this underrated photo opportunity, just like Mary & Kyle did!

City Beach - On The Sand
City Beach’s signature location! Quite simply, it’s a City Beach rite of passage to nail a sunset shoot on the sand & to bring all your Pinterest dreams to life! Kelly & Daniel won the day with a stunning muted sunset & a whole lot of love.

City Beach Sand Dunes
Once you’ve got the ocean-front shot, capture the dunes which have been hiding behind the camera! Framed by the Norfolk Island Pine silhouettes, few locations are as unique or picturesque as the City Beach sand dunes at sunset. Alicia & Daniel look like a dream in their sunset shots from the City Beach sand dunes.

The Pathway Gardens
An often-overlooked location, The Pathway Gardens are a beautiful place to grab some candid shots with your bridal party before heading into your reception. Taylor & Grant had their own little celebration here complete with confetti and a party-vibe!
