Interview - Emma & Robert

How did you both meet?

At dapto leagues club, Rob was a friend of my sister.

How did he pop the question?

Rob had a ring made by his uncle, with a few of his grandmothers diamonds in it.
We walked up to the top of sublime point and he got down on one knee.

What type of wedding did you plan, what was your theme?

Rustic

Which quirky features made your wedding unique?

Rob loves fishing and takes charter boats out on the weekends sometimes, so we had anchors on our save the dates and wedding invites, the boys also had anchor cufflinks.

Where did you hold the ceremony?

Rhododendron Gardens in Mount Keira

Why did you choose City Beach?

We absolutely loved the venue and the view, and from the start Citybeach were so accommodating and lovely.

What was the most memorable moment from the day?

The ceremony, saying our vows to each other.

What was it like dealing with Wedding Coordinator Melissa?

Initially we had Amy then Melissa took over when Amy went on maternity leave. They were both so helpful, sweet and lovely people.
Very easy to talk to and made the process very easy.

What’s your No.1 go to song that had to be included in your playlist?

Our first dance song - Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli

Who was your photographer for the day?

The Evoke Company

Any advice for couples about to tie the knot?

Relax! Don’t stress over the little things! At the end of the day its about two people declaring their love for each other and starting their life together, that’s all that matters and the guests are there to celebrate that.

The day goes so quick, so take a moment away with your better half and look around at all your guests, the view and the set up and take it all in.

If you’d like photos with guests, ask the celebrant or MC to announce it, so people come up to you to get the photo, instead of running around to each table asking if they want a photo (like I did haha).
